Sarah Nearis

Sarah is the Assistant Lifestyles Designer at AML.

From a young age, Sarah knew that she would make a career doing something she loved. After graduating High School and furthering her education in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at Bay State College in Boston, she was working in retail and free-lance wardrobe styling. It wasn't long after when she completed several styling classes from the well known School of Style in Los Angeles and began working at Amy McLaughlin Lifestyles. From TV Pilots, Magazine Covers and working one-on-one with private clients, her love for Fashion and Timeless style has made her not only a dear friend but great assistant stylist at AML.

A POP of
Peplum!

Ranging from tops to fitted dresses to skirts, Peplum has for sure
been making its way back onto retail floors and into many peoples
closets. Hesitant at first I was to purchase a top, unsure of
how it hugs the body and accentuates the figure, but completely
satisfied once I followed through with trying it on (something I
am known for NEVER doing).

Any who, one of the reasons that Peplum pieces
can look so flattering on a woman's figure is because
it accentuates the smallest part of our bodies (the waist) to
show the hour glass figure and creating a smooth shape
from our shoulders down.

While this trend if often seen dressed up with a
pencil skirt or found on a fitted cocktail dress, a top
can easily been put together with a pair of dark denim
jeans to create a more casual look.

Take a peak at some of our favorite Peplum pieces and
maybe you'll find one that works just for you!

Fashion Week Wrap Up
Written by
Senior Lifestyles Designer

It goes by just as fast as some of the runway shows itself, New York Fashion Week. You get to your hotel getting ready to unpack and begin coordinating outfits to wear to the different shows and before you know it, it's over. New York Fashion Week is one of my favorite times of the year (I'm lucky it comes twice) next to my Birthday and Christmas because it is all about celebrating the accomplishments of striving designers present their new collections and welcoming new designers to the fashion world. The parties are endless and meeting new people who love the same things you do is just as fun.

With that said, I wanted to personally show you all some of my favorite looks from this past Fashion Week in NYC debuting Fall 2012 collections. Ranging from the perfect MET Gala gown to your date night dress, you'll find a new found love in some of these beautiful pieces.

Will you be me V-A-L-E-N-T-I-N-E?

After Christmas and Thanksgiving, one of my favorite (kinda)
holiday's is Valentines Day. Although it is technically
not a holiday (just a Hall mark goldmine),
it is for sure fun to celebrate. Whether you are a hopeless
romantic like  myself or simply like an excuse to eat lots
of chocolate, champagne and dress up,than
this holiday is for you. With all of the hectic schedules going on
this time of year, it is the perfect excuse to take some
time out and have some one on one time with
 your significant other.

We've done our part to help you by picking some of our
favorite Valentines Day or Night dresses that will
kick up your normal date night look from
bland to bomb-shell.

Happy Valentines Day!
xoxo

Season of Sandals
For us on the east coast, we cherish the
few months were we can wear sandals
and sleevless tops without getting frostbites.
Although the hot temperatures don't last very
long, that doesn't mean we skimp on the
apparel and accessories for the summer season.
In fact, its the complete opposite. We take full
advantage to wear the best footwear, bikinis and
clothing to soak up the sun when we can.
Whether its walking on the beach, window
shopping on the vineyard or relaxing with
a "Cape Codder" down the cape, we at
AML are sharing our favorite footwear for
the summer season!

Our Favorite Swim Suits
under $40!

On a tight budget this summer for
bathing suit shopping? Trust me you are not
the only one. Between the drinks, gas and all of
the other activities that summer has in store, summer
itself can get pretty expensive. Although a high quality,
highly priced suit is always nice to have, having
something more affordable looks just as good on and
they won't leave your wallet feeling as empty.

Take a look at some of our favorite suits
that look great and don't break the bank!

The Reality of It All

Two large diet cokes from McDonalds,
snack wraps and a bag of goldish was the perfect
way to start our journey to the city
that never sleeps. With weeks of preparation,
nerves and high hopes, leading up to this long
weekend that could possibly take
Amy McLaughlin Lifestyles to another level,
we couldn't wait until  we were close enough to
see the skyline of Manhatten.

Although Amy McLaughlin has been on several
different Television segments giving her expert
advice and endless fashion tips to
viewers, as well as being hired to style
countless celebs in Hollywood, what we
were about to experience was taking her love and
knowledge for fashion and using it in a whole
different way.

Amy McLaughlin and her team, along with
other celebrity stylists including the well sought after
Hair Stylist Steven Dillon, and Make-up guru to the stars
Reiva Cruze, completed the make-over cast.

From Left to Right The Celebrity Stylists:
Wardrobe: Amy McLaughlin. Hair: Steven Dillon.
Makeup: Reiva Cruze

After 4 long days of filming and being
on set at several locations around NYC, we
completed the pilot episode. With an amazing
cast and crew, we will travel to the New York
once again this fall in hopes that the series will
be picked up by a major network!

Fingers Crossed!

our trip!
