Sarah Nearis

Sarah is the Assistant Lifestyles Designer at AML.

From a young age, Sarah knew that she would make a career doing something she loved. After graduating High School and furthering her education in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at Bay State College in Boston, she was working in retail and free-lance wardrobe styling. It wasn't long after when she completed several styling classes from the well known School of Style in Los Angeles and began working at Amy McLaughlin Lifestyles. From TV Pilots, Magazine Covers and working one-on-one with private clients, her love for Fashion and Timeless style has made her not only a dear friend but great assistant stylist at AML.

A Time to Reflect

With less than a month to go before we ring
in the New Year, lets take a time to reflect
the top fashion trends of 2010....
Fur and Faux Fur
Making a scene on all of the
high fashion runways was faux fur vests,
coats and boots. From Forever21 to
Dolce and Gabbana, it was everywhere.

Military Inspired
From cargo pants to military inspired
jackets, it was almost impossible not to
see someone wearing a piece from this trend.

Camel Coats

One of the biggest trends this year was
the return of the Camel colored coat. The
color was found on winter coats, trenches
and capes, and seen on almost every celeb
this year.

Costume Jewelry

While normally found in movies and starring
on Broadway, costume jewelry hit the streets
this year, giving consumers access to larger
than life statement rings, large faux-diamond
studs and necklaces that weigh just as much
the latte your holding.

Sky-High Heels

While high heels have always been in style,
sky high heels were dangerously popular
this year. Fashionista's like Kim Kardashian
who frequently sport these same exact Louboutins
like the ones above, as well as Lady GaGa who
is known for always wearing Alexander McQueen's
Armadillo Heels, have made them on our top
trends of 2010.

Animal Print
As one of the the "must haves" of this year,
it is no suprise that animal print pieces made
it to our trends of 2010 list. Although only to be
worn, ONE piece at a time, you could find
leopard print on anything and anywhere. Clutches,
coats, boots, tops and even phone-covers.
Clogs

Yes I said it, clogs. Although I did not
find myself wearing them this year, I am probably
one of the few. No longer are these badboys used
for gardening or working in the yard, they have
transformed to blend in with the most elite of
fashionistas.

The Return of Velvet

While most of us have old Christmas
dresses running through your minds as we
think of velvet, some top notch
designers were able to cash-in
on this cozy fabric with sexy frocks and
LBD's ( Emma Watson, pictured above).

Since we are reflecting on the year 2010,
it is only appropriate we remember one of the
most genius artists the fashion industry has
ever seen, and who we lost way to early.
